During this session, we will review infectionprevention and control in the dental office (Various guidelines through Atlantic Provinces), PIDAC, RCDSO(Ontario) and CSA standards.
Important aspects of reprocessing including decontamination, packaging, sterilisation and maintaining sterility until point of use will be detailed. Logging and sterilisation monitoring will be reviewed.
A healthy management of reprocessing instrumentation is crucial for everyone’s safety!

Nadia Coutu, brings 18 years of experience in the Dental and Medical industry. She has worked with Heine Instruments Canada for 10 years where she has held roles of Territory Manager as well as National Sales Manager. She has also spent 3 years working exclusively in the Medical industry, specifically in Ophthalmology, infection control and reprocessing of instruments in Hospitals and was trained as a Medical Device Reprocessing Agent in 2012. Equipment Sales Specialist for 2 years in the dental industry, Nadia understands well the challenges of a dental office. She has joined SciCan for the last 3 years, specialising in sterilisation and infection control in the Dental field.
